His 21st Case
His 21st Case

He’s barely landed in Zurich, and he already has to step in again.

Synopsis

Zurich-Höngg, early on a Friday morning.

People stagger through the streets, staring blankly ahead — as if they’re under remote control.

The phenomenon repeats itself week after week. Always on Fridays. Always in Höngg.

When an entire family throws themselves in front of the Cobra tram No. 13, Inspector Franz Böhler is called back into action.

What at first looks like a case of drug abuse or collective psychosis soon takes a different turn: to an esoteric couple calling themselves The Messengers of Midgard, to manipulated drinking water, and to a secret research project at ETH Zurich.

While half of Zurich laughs about “zombies in the water,” Böhler uncovers a disturbing link between ancient Germanic symbols, psychoactive plants, and digital brain manipulation.

But when the blue flag of the doomsayers flies once again over the city, it becomes clear: the experiment has only just begun.

And its reach extends far beyond Zurich.
