Summary
In the heart of Zurich, several women are found dead – strangled, filthy, and
each missing a little finger. The clues point to a connection with the city’s
sewer system and something – or someone – sinister lurking beneath the
streets.
Detective Franz Böhler and his team – assistant Blumer and forensic specialist
Gloria Meyer – face a mysterious case that doesn’t fit any known criminal
profile. The media soon dub the unknown killer “The Ogre of Zurich.” When
one woman survives with serious injuries and reports being attacked by a
disfigured figure from the underground, the hunt for a phantom begins.
