Synopsys
A retired church archivist is found dead in the Limmat near Werd Island. At first, it looks like suicide. But Inspector Böhler discovers that shortly before his death the man sent a letter to a Zurich journalist, pointing to abuse allegations from the 1980s—incidents that were systematically covered up at the boarding school at the time.
The deeper Böhler digs, the more resistance he encounters: the Church remains silent, files have disappeared, witnesses are afraid.
Böhler must decide: does he follow the truth, even as he realizes political, ecclesiastical and media circles will do anything to prevent it—or does he let himself be beaten down?
