Synopsis
At the traditional Albisgüetli Conference, attended by top politicians from the SVP (Swiss Peoples party) and invited guests from business, the military, and agriculture, SP Federal Councilor Adrian Lüthi, known as a conciliatory bridge-builder, is shot dead during his speech by a precision sniper bullet from a long distance.
The crime shocks the entire country—not only because of the victim but also because of the setting and its symbolic significance.
At the crime scene, investigators find a typewritten manifesto, devoid of any traces, written in radical language with references to class struggle, anti-capitalism, and historic betrayal.
Were the perpetrators from the left, the right, or perhaps terrorists linked to the Islamic State?
Inspector Böhler and his team struggle their way through a political quagmire.
